South Okanagan Roller Derby Association Presents Carnival of Carnage! August 18th, Penticton Trade and Convention Center

The Penticton Pistoleras will be battling against the K City Rollers of Kelowna in Women’s Flat Track Roller Derby action at The Penticton Trade and Convention Center on August 18.

Hot off their last home bout victory, The Pistoleras are ready to hit the track once again against the Okanagan Roller Derby League’s, K City Rollers. The Rollers are a tough, strategic team with some heavy hitters and strong skaters. The Pistoleras however are ready to serve up some carnival carnage delivering some hard hitting, fast action derby, and put on a great show.

Carnival of Carnage promises not to short change as there will be beer gardens, grub at the sugar shack, halftime sideshow, vendor and merch village, DJ, and of course an Afterparty.

There will also be a prize for best carnival themed costume. Tickets are available from the SOEC boxoffice or from your local derby girl. Cost is $12 in advance or $15 on the door, $8 for seniors, and kids under 10 are free. First whistle at 6:30 p.m., doors at 5:30.

 

SORDA supports the South Okanagan Women In Need Society (SOWINS). SOWINS is a registered non- profit society formed in 1981 that serves the Okanagan. Their mandate is to provide services for abused women and their children. 20 per cent of the profits from our 50/50 draw will go directly to SOWINS.
