To the Editor:
As a recent arrival in Keremeos I was a little appalled at the town’s and the credit union’s lack of response to the disaster in the Phillipines.
When I went into the credit union to donate money to cyclone relief, the best they could (come) up with was a domestic worker who was collecting cash.
My question is this: how does this reflect on the character of the town (or lack of it) and the credit union?
