In loving memory ~
Richard Frederick King passed away peacefully on June 7, 2023 at the age of 96 years.
He is sadly predeceased by his wife, Mary; brother, Jack King and sister, Bev Wittle.
Richard and Mary leave behind a legacy of future generations of Kings: daughters, Michelle Clayton (Dave), and Nancy Inkster (Ray); sons, Richard King (Lois) and Robert King (Sheila); nine grandchildren and seventeen great-grandchildren.
For those who knew Richard well, he will be remembered most for his kind nature. He was a humble, genteel man with a quick wit and a contagious smile - a "scallyway," as he would often tease.
Richard graced this world for 96 long years; of that, he served time in the Korean War. He would be wounded twice before being discharged.
Though it saddens us greatly to have you leave us, it is a comfort to know that you finally get to have that "long nap." Rest in peace. Love, your family.
