It is with heavy hearts that we say goodbye to our dear friend George. He passed away peacefully at Westview Place in Penticton, BC on December 6 at the age of 88 years.
George was born in St. Walburg, SK and raised in Crescent Bay, near Nelson, BC, on Kootenay Lake. He spent many years as an automotive mechanic in Prince George and then at the pulp mill before his retirement. George was a long standing member of the Elks Club and received his 50-year pin at Keremeos, BC.
George loved to tell stories of his cabin that he built on Summit Lake near Prince George, where he spent many happy years waterskiing with his friends. As well as being an avid water-skier he also enjoyed curling.
For the last twenty years, George lived in Keremeos where he made many friends whom he always shared stories and jokes with. George will be sadly missed by Norm, Fern, Jim and Aileen and by all who knew him. Our sincere thanks go to the caring staff at Westview Place. No service by request.
May He Rest in Peace.
