November 17, 1937 - August 7, 2020
It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Edith Hope Bobowski. The lord took her home on August 7, 2020. Heaven will be a little brighter and this world a little less.
Hope was born November 17, 1937 at home in Falun, Alberta to Cecil and Alice McEwen. The family moved to Lillooet in 1945 and B.C. then became home for the family.
Hope was such a bright light and made everyone feel like they were her favourite and her love and faith shone through her. Her home was always open. She brought her niece, Rosemary, in as a teenager to finish raising and after her children were grown she opened her home to so many more to share her love.
When she thought she was done raising kids she then helped raise her granddaughters Jody and Chantal who brought her so much joy. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were the light of her life and they all felt her love.
Hope had a great love for gardening that she learned from her parents and many enjoyed her beautiful flowers. She showed her enormous heart by her many charitable actions such as collecting and distributing clothing and school supplies to families in Mexico. She loved her yearly trips to Yuma and was always ready for a game of cards!
She was pre-deceased by her parents Cecil and Alice, and by her sisters Lois and Dorothy and brothers, Ben, Les and Gary. She leaves behind her husband Stan and their children Ron, Rick, Frank (Julie) and Owen (Linda), sister Jodi and brothers Stan (Shirley) and Dale (Shelley) and sister-in-law Joanne.
She also leaves many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews and countless friends & relatives who all love her dearly. (Sorry for not mentioning you all personally)
We all know you are watching over us and we thank you for the gift of kindness and love that you gave us.
