It is with great sadness that the family of Bruce Melville Wallace, born in Winnipeg MB, announces his passing, at his Hedley home, on November 14, 2019, at the age of 83. Bruce is lovingly remembered by his wife Beryl (McKay) of 46 years and his son Ian (Barbara) and his two grandsons Findley and Alistair of Canmore, AB.
Bruce was predeceased by his parents Elizabeth (Clarke) and Adam Wallace, in-laws Alice (Fowler) and Jack McKay, his brothers Joe, Jack (Ann), Ron, Ken (Arlene), Brian and Bill.
Bruce is survived by brother David (Jean), sisters-in-law Margaret, Lila, Merla, Virginia and Donna (Fred) Daniels. Bruce is also fondly remembered by his numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and dear friends.
Bruce was a quiet man with a kind heart. He had a passion for driving. His career in sales took him to every town in B.C. He was an avid reader of mysteries and history, enjoyed British TV, playing cards, telling entertaining stories and puttering around the property. In retirement Bruce loved to travel. He RV'd to the NWT, Yukon, throughout BC, and extensively through Mexico and the Baja. He also enjoyed his trip exploring India from north to south. Bruce enjoyed meeting people of different cultures and their history.
At Bruce's request no service will be held. A spring gathering will take place when his ashes are interred in Keremeos, B.C.
