It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, uncle and friend Albert James Lloyd on February 4 2018.

Albert is fondly remembered by his wife of 67 years, Betty his three sons, Stephen (Bev) Peter (Lelainia) and Richard (Shari). His grandchildren Dylan, Curtis, AJ (Sarah) Chris (Casper), Carver, Chelsea (Brad) and Adam. His great grandchildren Sophia, Ronan and Blixa along with numerous nieces and nephews.

Pre deceased by his parents Edward and Hazel Lloyd, his brothers Ted, Bill, Doug and his sister Marg.

Born in New Westminster Albert grew up in the wilds of Coquitlam. Traveling to the Yukon at the age of 15 to work on the river boats. He then got a job with a construction company and drove a truck for the building of the Cleveland dam and the Lougheed highway. Joining the district of Coquitlam in 1959 he worked as a mechanic working on fire trucks until retiring in 1989. After retirement he purchased a share in a commercial fishing boat and spent many a day trolling for fish in the waters around Deep Bay on Vancouver Island.

In 1993 He and Betty moved to Keremeos where they lived for the past 25 years.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers a donation in Albert's name, can be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association at donation@diabetes.ca
