The Regional District Okanagan Similkameen Board of Directors will choose one of three proposals offered for Phase one of the Similkameen Valley Watershed Plan at the Thursday, January 24 regional district board meeting.
Staff are recommending Summit Environmental’s $92,050 proposal.
The three proposals received by the regional district for Phase one of the study included the following:
- Summit Environmental Consultants Inc. at $92,050
- Sage Transitions at $80,806
- Lower Similkameen Indian Band at $453,307
Phase one objectives include researching and compiling all of the available baseline information for the associated objectives of the study into a usable format; identification of possible funding and partnerships; and development of a communications plan for the remaining phases of the watershed project.
The board may alternatively choose not to award the project to the recommended proponent at Thursday’s meeting.
