Shuswap outpatient lab to close for 5 days to accommodate change to new space

Hospital in Salmon Arm will accommodate patients with urgent bloodwork

If you have bloodwork to get done, don’t go to the Shuswap Outpatient Collection Lab from June 5 to 9.

Interior Health has announced the lab at #2 – 2770 10th Ave. NE will be closed June 5-9 to accommodate a transition to a new space in the same building.

Patients requiring urgent bloodwork will be able to attend Shuswap Lake General Hospital from 7:30 to 3:30 a.m.

“Patients with routine bloodwork are asked to kindly wait until the new space opens on June 12. Additional staff will be available upon reopening to help attend to those who had to wait for their routine blood work,” reads a media release from Interior Health.

Residents will experience a more modern environment with improved accessibility and efficiency of services, IH says.
