School maintenance garage theft
Police continue to investigate a break in at the Similkameen Elementary Secondary School bus garage.
Police believe the break in occurred shortly after 6 a.m. on Wednesday, December 11.
A large quantity of expensive tools, all the bus keys and a blue half ton maintenance pick up was stolen.
Approximately eight hours later, a school bus driver who was familiar with the pick up spotted in under Red Bridge and called police.
The keys and tools were not found in the vehicle.
Student busing was disrupted Wednesday as a result of the theft.
Missing wood carving
Ken Hunt reported the theft of a wood carved eagle from the front lawn of his property on late Wednesday, December 11 or early Thursday morning. A reward for the eagle, named “Igor,” is being offered by Hunt, who can be reached at 250-499-4356.
