South Similkameen Arts Society members pecked their way through about 200 entries entered into the naming of the quail contest to come to a final decision of Amos and Kera.
Rob Showell came up with the name Amos for the cement quail while Susan Huffus submitted the name Kera for the metal sculpture.
Winners received a cheque from the Arts Society and small gift from the artists. Signs showing the quails’ names, along with a story about how the quails came to be, will be developed in upcoming months.
