Independent HST panel will be reporting to British Columbians in May

At the request of the independent panel tasked with  reporting to British Columbians on the implications of keeping the HST  or returning to the PST and GST, government is extending the reporting  period deadline to early May.

The panel made its request for two reasons: to ensure it incorporates  the significant number of submissions it has received, and to avoid  overlap with the federal election.

The panel will release a plain-speaking, fact-based report voters can  review before deciding whether to keep the HST or return to the PST/GST  in the June referendum.
