The Electoral Area “D” Community Works (gas tax) reserve fund expenditure bylaw was read and adopted.
This step is the first in the development of a walkway along the Okanagan Falls waterfront. The funds are also to be used to create a circular trail around Okanagan Falls by providing a bridge across the Okanagan River channel at the site of the new wastewater treatment plant.
The bridge will also provide a means by which a pipe can be conveyed across the river to someday move effluent from the wastewater treatment plant to the Vaseaux Lake wetlands.
