Wiltech Developments, contractors working on the highway improvements at Yellow Lake, recently announced a schedule for upcoming road closures on Highway 3A.
Beginning February 8, closures on Highway 3A between Twin Lakes Road and the west end of Yellow Lake are expected to be conducted between the hours of 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. and again from 4 p.m to 5 p.m. from Monday to Saturday.
Highway 3 to Highway 97 can be used as an alternate route during these closures, but motorists should note that this route will add approximately 65 kilometres to a trip to Penticton from Keremeos.
Alternatively, travel to and from the Okanagan could also take place utilizing the secondary roads via Green Mountain Road or White Lake Road and the Fairview - Cawston Road.
Wiltech is currently conducting single lane alternating traffic ins the above area with maximum two minute stoppages.
