Lamb of God and Mastodon bring Ashes of the Leviathan tour to Penticton

The bands mark 20-years since their acclaimed albums with a North America tour

It’s going to get heavy in Penticton on Aug. 16, when metal legends Lamb of God and Mastodon’s Ashes of the Leviathan Tour stops at the South Okanagan Events Centre.

The tour marks the Aug. 31 20th anniversary of Lamb of God’s biggest-selling album, Ashes of the Wake, and Mastodon’s acclaimed sophomore album Leviathan.

Both bands will perform their respective albums in full and the tour will be supported by special guests Kerry King and Malevolence.

Lamb of God is a five-time Grammy-nominated metal band who have been hand-picked to tour with Metallica, and have worked with other stars, from Chino Moreno of Deftones to Chuck Billy of Testament.

Mastodon is a Grammy Award winner. The band’s most recent album, Hushed and Grim, marked their third that shot up to No. 1 on the Billboard Hard Rock Albums Chart.

Tickets for the show go on sale this Friday, Feb. 9, at 10:00 a.m. and can be purchased online at valleyfirsttix. com or in person at the SOEC box office.
