Musician and comic Bonnie Kilroe is bringing her best celebrity impressions to Highway 97 Brewery on Friday night.

Marilyn Monroe, Miley Cyrus, Tina Turner and Cher are listed as a few of the people the performer will portray at the Penticton venue.

The show runs from 6 to 10 p.m. and proceeds from the night will benefit the South Okanagan Similkameen Brain Injury Society.

CSSHL Western Championships (March 15 to 17)

The final games from the 2024 CSSHL Western Championships run this weekend at Memorial Arena, South Okanagan Events Centre and Okanagan Hockey Training Centre.

Champions will be crowned in several student-athlete-based divisions, with players ranging in age from 13 to 18.

The tournament wraps up Sunday after welcoming 96 teams from across North America and more than 5,000 visitors.

Penticton Vees enter ‘home stretch’ (March 16)

After the Vees visit the West Kelowna Warriors on Friday night, they’ll host the Alberni Valley Bulldogs on Saturday night at the SOEC, playing the first of their five remaining regular-season games.

Penticton, who is currently in first place in the Interior Conference, will play all of its final games at the SOEC before the BCHL Playoffs begin on April 5.

St. Patrick’s Day at the Seniors’ Centre (March 17)

The Penticton Drop-In Seniors’ Centre hosts St. Patrick’s Day festivities on Sunday, from 2 to 6 p.m.

The event will feature dinner, dancing and music by the Glory Days.

Aaron Loewen at Cannery Brewing (March 17)

A night of retro jazz comes to Penticton’s Cannery Brewing when Aaron Loewen hits the local stage.

Loewen plays from 5 to 7 p.m.

There is no cover charge.

Other St. Patrick’s Day celebrations (March 17)

Several Penticton pubs are hosting celebrations on Sunday, including the Hub on Martin and Copper Mug Pub.

The former is having an “all-day” party with live music and holiday-themed food, while the latter brings St. Patrick’s Day-themed performers to its stage starting at 3 p.m.
