The Summerland Museum is offering plenty of outdoor activities during the summer months.
For the second year, the museum is offering walking tours that will guide you through parts of Summerland’s history. The walking tours will be held Friday mornings from July 9 to Aug. 13, beginning at 11 a.m.

The tours will alternate between tours of the core of Summerland and Lowertown. Tours last approximately an hour and a half. Participants are urged to wear comfortable shoes and bring water.
The uptown tours start right outside the museum and Lowertown tours meet at the Summerland Trout Hatchery. There is a limit of 10 people per tour. This programming is in partnership with the Okanagan Historical Society.
On July 24 from 1 to 4 p.m., the museum will host a pop-up museum at Millionaire’s Row Cider Co. Those attending are urged to participate in this community-driven, outdoor exhibit by bringing an item under the theme “Apple of My Eye.” This can mean something related to apples and orchards or an item dear to your heart. Anyone 19 and older who brings an item will get a free cider tasting.

The museum is open Tuesday to Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
