The Keremeos Regional Library is starting up their family reading Fridays on March 6.

From 11 a.m. until noon every Friday, kids to age five are invited to join librarian Kelly Sanders for crafts, reading, and songs at the Keremeos Library.

Each week features a different theme for the day.

“Our first one is pandas,” said Sanders. “We’re doing a whole panda bear themed storytime. We’re making a panda bear chewing on bamboo out of construction paper and googly-eyes. Then I have five little puppets, for a five-little-pandas rhyme.”

The second week will be themed around St. Patrick’s Day and the colour green, with a fairy tale day and later themes to be announced.

More information about the days, and registering for the week can be done by calling the Keremeos Regional Library at 250-499-2313. Drop-ins are always welcome.

The Storytime Fridays run for 10 weeks, winding down in May.
