A local business is being recognized for their considerable efforts made to give back to the community.
Total Restoration South Okanagan went out of their way in 2020 to support the community in many different ways. Now, their efforts have been acknowledged as the company has been nominated for the “Best Community Impact” award through the annual Small Business BC Awards.
The Small Business BC’s annual awards aim to highlight the best of the best in small businesses across the province.
The Best Community Impact Award goes to the company that’s truly making a difference in their community. The businesses nominated have taken positive action to invest in their community and sees social responsibility as an integral part of the business’ success.
Total Restoration’s community relations manager Tracy Van Raes said her entire team was elated to have been nominated.
“It’s huge. Giving back is a big part of our workplace culture. Everyone that works at Total knows what we do in the community and is really proud of it,” Van Raes said.
“We believe in giving back to the community to thank them for keeping us in business.”
Despite the pandemic, Total Restoration was still able to come up with various ways to support the community in 2020. From doing outreach work with local homelessness support groups, sponsoring the Stay at Home Gala, various food drives, to supporting the Starfish Pack program, Total Restoration was one of the most generous company’s in the community throughout the year.
