The Okanagan Gleaners are looking for the support of the community to help them expand their food.
The Gleaners are aiming to build a 50-foot by 100-foot storage building to house the dehydrated food they prepare before it is distributed, particularly during the summer months when the heat on their current metal storage containers can reduce how long and how much they can prepare at a time.
Over a single year, the Gleaners prepare and ship more than six million servings of food on average.
They are hoping to raise $350,000 so that they can get 3Bar Construction in Oliver to build the storage facility.
Donations can be made by going to the Okanagan Gleaners website at okanagangleaners.com.
Donations of $500 and above can be recognized with a plaque.
