Keremeos new council takes oaths of office

Keremeos welcomed their new council at the inaugural meeting on Nov. 7.

The new councillors and mayor took their Oaths of Office as they took their chairs at the council table and will serve Keremeos for a 2022-2026 term.

Seated at the table over the next four years will be Mayor Jason Wiebe, Councillor Jeremy Evans, Councillor Arden Holley, Councillor Tracy Henderson and Councillor Garry Elliott.

The new council expressed their wishes to keep hearing from residents and business owners on their issues and concerns as well as their ideas.

People interested in communicating with council have multiple ways to reach them.

That includes by email, letter or phone to the numbers and emails on the Village of Keremeos Council page online.

Residents are also encouraged to attend Coffee with the mayor meetings and council meetings. For council meetings, questions and comments are required to be kept to the topic of items on the agenda or discussed as part of councillors’ reports.

Business owners are invited to attend roundtable meetings to share their ideas and concerns.
