Historic house was home to two Summerland mayors

Just south of Granny’s Fruit Stand on Highway 97 is one of Summerland’s important heritage homes.

Built in 1906, it had an interesting architecture with unusually large windows for that time period.

During the Spanish Flu, this home was used as an emergency hospital for flu patients. The Spanish Flu did not impact the Summerland hospital.

This building was also the home of two of Summerland’s mayors. J.R. Campbell (1919-1920 and 1922-1924) and Don Cameron (1993-2002.)
