Hit2Fit fundraiser for Shuswap Hospice Society, Canadian Mental Health Association

The gloves were on for a good cause Saturday night for the 6th Annual Hit2Fit Gala.

A fundraiser for the Shuswap Hospice Society and the Canadian Mental Health Association, the April 27 event at the SASCU Recreation Centre saw local fighters who train under coach Peggy Maerz of Bulldogs Fitness & Boxing Centre step into the ring for eight of 11 competitive bouts.

Hit2Fit is hosted by the Salmon Arm Boxing 4 Wellness Society whose mandate is to serve the community by improving access and programming for health, lifestyle and fitness to a variety of local groups of all ages and inclusive to all ability levels.
