Senior resident upset by lack of police response to call

To the Editor:

To the Editor:

I was home alone when two people came to my home.

They wanted to have access to remove objects they claimed belonged to them .

I told them to come back at 4 p.m. and talk to my husband.

They refused to listen and became quite abusive - threatening me saying they would be back with the police. I ordered them off my property.

When they left I phoned the police. I told them I was senior and alone. I told them I had been threatened and was hearing impaired and afraid.

This call was between 12:30 and 1 p.m. on January 3.

Today is January 4 and no police came in answer to my call.

I hope this letter is a warning to all senior citizens living alone. We should be protected from people who threaten us. To say I am disappointed in our Keremeos police force is very true.
