There was cake, raffles and even pies in the face during last week’s 45th anniversary celebrations at Valu-Plus Foods in Keremeos.
The crew at the independent grocery store also did some fundraising. Customers and staff donated just over $1,200 during the week. The money is going to the ALS Society and the South Similkameen Medical Foundation. During the week many prizes were handed out to customers and votes cast for staff to get a pie in the face.
When votes were tallied the top four staff were: Shannon Forner, 3rd Linda Gagnon, 2nd Jamie Forner, and 1st Theo Walta.
