An air ambulance was called in to respond to a medical emergency in Armstrong Friday afternoon.
Paramedic public information officer Brian Twaites confirms that BC Emergency Health Services responded to the emergency at 1:45 p.m. Dec. 29, and brought one person to hospital.
“An air ambulance, two ground ambulances and an advanced care responder unit responded. Paramedics cared for and transported one patient by air ambulance to hospital,” Twaites said in an email.
A photo posted to the Armstrong & Area Community Forum on Facebook shows the air ambulance at Len Wood Middle School.
School is not in session as it’s currently the winter break.
Twaites did not provide insight into the extent of the person’s injuries or how the person was injured.
