2 trailers, boat, vehicle destroyed by flames in Kelowna

The Kelowna Fire Department was called out around 9:00 Monday (Apr 8) morning

The Kelowna Fire Department (KFD) quickly knocked down a fire on a rural property in Glenmore on Monday (Apr 8) morning.

Emergency crews were called to Glenmore Road North and Begbie Road around 9 a.m.

Platoon captain Chris Zimmerman two travel trailers, a boat, and a vehicle on the property were destroyed and one main structure was slightly damaged.

“Water supply was an issue due to the distance of the hydrants,” he said. “We had to set up a bit of a relay pump situation which we had to bring in some more apparatus to make that happen. But we got it set up quick and fire got knocked down.”

No one was injured and the cause of the blaze is currently unkown.
