Keremeos’ squad cruised to a first-place finish after wins against schools from 100 Mile House, Prince George and Barriere. The eventual champions won 102-48, 71-50 and 80-59, in succession.

Similkameen Elementary Secondary played its games on Dec. 8 and 9, in Barriere, B.C.

According to BC High School Boys Basketball, the Keremeos-based team is in a group this season with the Osoyoos Secondary School Rattlers and Princeton Rebels. Regular-season action continues in the new year.

Coming off its tournament win north of Kamloops, the senior boys’ team’s next game is on Jan. 24, against Osoyoos.

The Barriere Cougar Classic runs right before Christmas annually and typically features different teams from across the province.
