Play ball, SOMBA! (April 6)

Saturday marks ‘opening day’ for players at the South Okanagan Minor Baseball Association.

The association is hosting a celebration at Carmi Field from 11 a.m. to noon, to mark the start of the season.

Festivities will be followed by a Penticton Tigers U18 game, as its AAA team takes the field and hosts Kamloops.

Penticton Kiwanis Music Festival (April 7)

All-day events on Sunday include choral, classical voice, musical theatre, speech arts, and dance performances at Our Lord Redeemer Lutheran Church.

The festival runs until April 10.

TRUE Penticton Tourism Expo (April 7)

Several tourism-based vendors will be at the Penticton Trade and Convention on Sunday for the seventh-annual TRUE Penticton Tourism Expo.

TRUE stands for ‘Think Remarkable Unique Experiences,’ with food vendors and scavenger hunts for kids also expected to headline the free event, which runs from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Okanagan Symphony Orchestra at S.S. Sicamous (April 7)

The Kelowna-based Okanagan Symphony Orchestra brings ‘Shift’ to the Penticton’s historic S.S. Sicamous on Sunday, from 2 to 5 p.m.
