The skies will be abuzz with action this weekend over Vernon.

The Vernon Flying Club/COPA Flight 65 will host Spring Training for Pilots on Saturday, May 4, at the Vernon Regional Airport.

“We expect about 140 pilots to attend the annual ‘Rust Remover’ with many flying in from all over B.C. and southern Alberta,” said club member Marion Ross.

“The Vernon Airport is one of the busiest general aviation airports in B.C. and the May 4 weekend will see even more traffic if the weather is flyable.”

This training is approved by Transport Canada for recurrent training for pilots.

Cost is $35 including lunch.
