A Mini Cooper being towed by a motor home caught fire on Hwy. 97 on Aug. 23

Western News has obtained dash cam footage of the car fire that took place on Hwy. 97 yesterday.

At approximately 11:30 a.m., a Mini Cooper being towed by a motor home on the highway caught fire after its engine compartment ignited. Penticton resident Peter Piotrofski was able to catch the ongoing blaze on his dash cam, before members of the Penticton Fire Department were able to extinguish it.
