Summerland Ladies Club

On Tuesday, Sept. 10, the Summerland Golf and Country Ladies Club hosted the annual Summerland 4-Lady Scramble.

The weather was cool and damp but all thoroughly enjoyed the successful event.

Results: First from Summerland Jackie Clement, Danielle Riley, Jodie Brennan, Linda Angstadt; second from Spallumcheen - Julie Pisch, pam Page, Laura Guidi, Michelle Brandle; third from Summerland Sydney Clement, Erin Clement, Jenna Denton, Renee Gillard; fourth from Sunset Ranch Team Marilyn McRae; fifth from Summerland Team Doreen Butterworth; sixth from Penticton Team Mary Lebler, seventh from Vernon Team Debbie Fisher, eighth from Summerland Team Diana Leitch; ninth from Penticton Team Karen St. Martin; 10th from Fairview Mountain Team Arlene Graham.

Summerland Senior Men

On Sept. 12, the Summerland Senior Men’s Club played an all net scores event.

Alf Vaagen led the field with a net 68 while Frank Davie with a 69 and Rick Drewnisz with a 71 topped their respective flights. Four players shared the deuce pot, Jim Haddrell, Graham Baggalley, George Carswell and Frank Davie.

First flight: First Alf Vaagen, 68; second Andy Webster, 69; third Jim Haddrell, 72; fourth Steve Clement, 73 cb.

Second flight: First Frank Davie, 69; second Joe Beggs, 71; third Jerry McKenna, 73; fourth Ken Bridgeman, 74 cb.

Third flight: First Rick Drewnisz, 71; second Bob Tamblyn, 72; third Herb Williams, 74 cb; fourth George Carswell, 74.
