Stong wind and warm weather last week has delayed work on ice making at the Keremeos skating rink, subsequently delaying the painting and placement of hockey lines.
The regular opening of the rink has been postponed until Saturday when the regular schedule starts. This gives work crews an extra day of preparations.
Registration for skate lessons is going well and we expect full classes for both groups. We look forward to a busy two months.
The Christmas kids skate free program will take place over the school break courtesy of local businesses who have supported this program for many years.
Pharmasave will again sponsor the official ice opener on Sunday, December 4 - a free skate for everyone.
