The BCHL's first-ever exceptional status player shone on one of the league's brightest stages on Friday, Jan. 17.
Penticton Vees forward Eli McKamey has a goal and an assist in the BCHL Top Prospects Game in Salmon Arm, which featured NHL draft prospects split between the Interior and Coastal Conference.
McKamey, who turns 16 years old on Sunday, opened the game's scoring and helped lead the Interior Conference to a 7-4 win.

With several NHL scouts in attendance, the game marked the start of BCHL All-Star Weekend.
McKamey was joined on the ice by fellow Vees Max Heise and Zach Nyman.
After McKamey added an assist early in the third period, Nyman chipped in with a helper himself late in the frame.
On Saturday, Jan. 18, the Vees' leading scorer this season, Ryden Evers, will be the club's lone representative at the BCHL's three-on-three all-star tournament and skills competitions.
All of the action is taking place at Rogers Rink in the Shuswap.
