Local players going to B.C. summer games

Kobau team members selected

Five local girls have made the first cut in making the zone 2 BC summer games girls fastball team. The five girls have been playing on the local Kobau Koyotes for the past few years and being born in 1999 qualified them to tryout for this zone team. The initial tryout had 47 girls from Kamloops down the valley and the five local girls all made the top 30. This past weekend they had another assessment while playing in a Whiterock tournament and are waiting for the new results. The final team will be chosen in March and the BC Summer games will be in July 2012. The five girls are: Taylor Thompson
