Similkameen Wineries won an outstanding total of 30 medals in the two major spring wine competitions this past month, proving once again why this valley is such a great place for growing fruit and making premium wine. The All Canadian Wine Championships, based in Ontario, invites all Canadian wineries to compete and highlights every wine region in the country. The Northwest Wine Summit, a massive international competition, is held in Mt Hood Oregon and invite entries from Alaska, Alberta, B.C., Washington Oregon, Idaho, and Montana.
Winning Wineries include: Cerelia -one gold; EauVive, one gold, one Silver; Forbidden Fruit, one double gold, three gold, four silver, four bronze; Robin Ridge one silver, one bronze; Rustic Roots, one gold, two silver, one bronze; Seven Stones, two silver, seven bronze.
