FREE “Meditation for Everyone” CLASS

I invite all persons ages 14 and above to my third annual springtime “Meditation for Everyone” class here in Keremeos

To the Editor:

Dear Valley Neighbors,

I invite all persons ages 14 and above to my third annual springtime “Meditation for Everyone” class here in Keremeos, beginning Sunday April 27.  For over thirty years one of my highest joys has been to teach and encourage the practice of meditation, and I think I do it well.  It will be my great pleasure to share it with you. This spring’s format is more condensed than before. We’ll do it all in one week.

The introductory session, and the longest one, begins at 9 a.m. Sunday. It is a pleasant, eye-opening, and mind-expanding stand-alone class that I call “Learn to Meditate in 150 Minutes”.  As I have been led to teach it, this is an experientially-based, self-validating approach that honors and respects your own integrity.  It does not presuppose or force-feed any religious doctrine.  Persons of any faith persuasion or none are welcome. By noon you will have all you need to begin or refresh your own meditation practice.

I encourage you, though, to join me for the four additional evening sessions, Monday thru Thursday, April 28-May 1, from 7 to 9 p.m..  In past years, your friends and neighbors who have taken this springtime journey with me have uniformly said that the additional sessions enriched them immeasurably, beyond the basic work. This time together allows you to go both broader and deeper into your meditation practice, and to answer questions and clarify any points that may arise as you venture into Wonder-Full new territory, or continue or recommit to your present or past meditation experience.  (Yes, of course.  Previous students are welcome back.)

I also encourage you to invite (but not coerce!)  a friend or family member to join you. That way you will double or triple your pleasure, and have the benefit of mutual encouragement in establishing a regular daily practice.

Once again, the series meets at Saint John’s Church, corner of Sixth Avenue and Fifth Street.  Classes start promptly.

Thank you for accepting my invitation.  I will be honored by your presence, and I think you will be pleased.  If not, you can get your money back. (Oh, no.  That’s right;  it’s free!)

Pre-registration is encouraged, by calling Marlene at 250-499-4822.
