Elimination of one use grocery bags has unsanitary implications

Major change is going to happen in the U.S by eliminating all those plastic bags the check out clerk puts your groceries in.

To the Editor:

I  tried to get this first hand information to the grocery shopping public some time ago but to no avail.

Major  change is going to happen in the U.S by eliminating all those plastic bags the check out clerk puts your groceries in.

You will have to take your own bags back and forth, which is no problem for most shopper’s except for the following:

Maybe it was the little old lady from Pasadena who was ahead of us at the till  when the lady presented her own cloth shopping bag to the female clerk when it happened.

The clerk’s eyes rolled and looked at my wife in dismay as what appeared to be balls and loose strands of cat- hair were clinging to and inside the cloth bag.

It made a person want to upchuck but the clerk kept her composure - taking time to put on latex gloves to combat the balls of cat hair.

The lady left and the clerk never challenged  the lady on the hairy scene but immediately sprayed the work area down with what I don’t know - but the ordeal  left a lasting memory of fur balls and kitty litter in our minds.

Anybody that has or owns a pussy - cat would likely agree that kitty loves to play in things like boxes and the un-forbidden - plus chewing on the odd mouse.

How will people be trained to keep their reusable cloth  bags in a place secure from all contamination - please tell me because I don’t believe it will happen ?

The check out gal wanted me to forward a letter to the press with the hope of heading this bright idea of cloth versus plastic to a clinic or work shop for more input and discussion. before the carpet of unsanitary cat - all animal hair - fleas - mites - nits or whatever end up in our soup.  Please think about it. ( Meow- meow it’s time for chow.)
