A Light Came On
While passing by our new (trial) LED downtown street light, I had this feeling that I had seen that style of light shade before. I do appreciate the effort and the much needed new light, but I would kindly ask council to put another style of light shade up for us to choose from.
It is, after all, us downtown people who will see them every day. A light shade more accustomed to the B.C. small towns, brings visions of lantern style, stagecoach, more turn of the century, not a style that resembles more of the European style, possibly World War One Kaiser style helmets.
If the village needs help in choosing, please ask the downtown shopkeepers. We have waited a long, long time for new lights, and they will be there for a long time, so let us choose wisely
