It is with great sadness we announce the peaceful passing of Rick Somerville on December 10, 2017 at Moog House in Penticton.

He is survived by his brother Terry (Jane), his best friend "Misty", Nieces - Sandra, Ashleigh & Lana as well as many cousins, relatives & friends.

He was predeceased by his mother Patricia, father Harold & sister Nadine.

Rick was born in Dawson Creek, BC & raised in South Burnaby BC. Rick loved the outdoors & his dogs. He was a Conservation Officer for many years in the East Kootenays. He started his own business of making large sandblasted 3D cedar signs for parks & recreation areas which was very successful in Invermere & Radium. He moved to the Lower Mainland where he took an Appliance Servicing course & opened his own business in Maple Ridge.

Lawn Bowling was a great passion of Rick's where he won several Provincial medals. Later Rick retired to the South Okanagan where he would walk "Misty" along the river in Keremeos & hike the nearby hills & valleys 5 or 6 times a day with friends or just enjoying nature.

Rick had a good heart, loved a great joke and was a friend to everyone.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Keremeos Community Church 530 Veterans Ave Keremeos, BC on March 3, 2018 at 1pm. Coffee/Tea & snacks will be provided.
