Margaret Evelyn Cullen

June 16, 1950 - June 22, 2019
On Saturday, June 22, 2019, Mrs. Margaret Evelyn Cullen of Keremeos passed away peacefully at her home at the age of 69 years.
She was predeceased by her father David Grierson; mother Evelyn Grierson; brothers Robert, John and Alan Grierson and sisters Elaine Fox and Norma Holt.
Margaret will be fondly remembered by her loving family including sons David (Laurie), Mike (Crystal) and John Cullen; brother Don Grierson; sister Rhonda Johns: sisters-in-law Claudia Stevens and Norma Grierson; nephews Mike Holt, David and William Grierson and nieces Siobhan Fox, Auriela Grierson and Hannah Grierson.
She enjoyed visiting Southern Ontario, especially the Niagara Region and driving across Canada to relocate her sister Rhonda to Keremeos in Spring 2015.
Margaret was an active parishioner at St John Devine Anglican Church in Keremeos. Over the years she volunteered her time with Royal Purple Canada at the Oliver Lodge and the Keremeos Lodge, the Oliver Food Bank, the Elks/Royal Purple Friday Night Bingo and the Promise Valley Players theatre group in Okanagan Falls.
She was an accomplished musician and played the flute, clarinet, organ, piano and had a lovely high soprano singing voice.
Margaret enjoyed sewing, knitting, playing her organ and singing show tunes and hymns. She also enjoyed watching Highway to Heaven and Little House on the Prairie television series and one of the favourite musicals was the Music Man.
Donations are gratefully accepted for the Canadian Cancer Society or the Kelowna Lodge Fund.
A memorial service will be held at 1 pm, Monday August 12th at the Keremeos Elks Hall followed by a reception at the Elks Hall.
