Ken Sward, age 70, born in Abbotsford B.C. the only child to Carl and Marion Sward slipped away peacefully on January 26, 2025 after a long battle with cancer.
Ken is predeceased by his Father, Carl, in 1987, his Mother, Marion, in 2024, and his wife, Sandra, in 2013.
Ken was raised on a nearby Dairy Farm in Matsqui. After a 26-year career in Federal Corrections Ken moved to Keremeos and managed a Motel. Ken became involved with the local Sportsman's Association eventually becoming a Provincial Board Member with the BC Wildlife Federation. Ken remarried Barb Henderson and they moved to Merritt. Ken spent his final years with Barb happily enjoying what life had to give. Ken leaves behind many family members and friends. You will never be forgotten and will live in our hearts and memories forever.
Ken is survived by his wife Barb, son Derek, grandson Corbin, Step Daughter Shelley Robinson (Dan), Quinn, Lola, Rhys and Step son Jason Henderson (Jessie) Ben, Eva, Zoey, Jack, Hailey.
Ken's passion was hunting and fishing and any donations in his name to the Keremeos, Cawston Sportsman's Association would be greatly appreciated.
