In Loving Memory ~

With heavy hearts and deep love, we announce the passing of our dear mother, Jean Ann Stewart, who left us peacefully on April 10, 2025, at the age of 87 surrounded by family. Jean was born in Trail, B.C, June 5, 1937, to Robert and Anna Marie Hardie. Jean was predeceased by her husband Robert Roy Stewart in 2017 at Keremeos, B.C. Roy was married to Jean in 1967 and together they raised two children, Julie and Jim. Roy and Jean later took Ryan into their care in 1977 and provided a loving home in which Ryan was raised. Jean arrived at Keremeos in 1961 with her 2 small children and made a life there for them along with her Dad, Robert Hardie. Jean worked at the CIBC bank in Keremeos and later at Blakeborough's store where she could often be found helping customers and listening to Charlie Pride music. Jean was proud of her 7 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren and had a passion for butterflies, birds, angels, and music. Jean was a feisty, stubborn, strong spark plug of a woman who knew her mind and never took no for an answer. Jean loved fresh cherries off the tree. Mom loved to shop. followed by Chinese food and a stop at the Casino. She lived her life fiercely in defense of her kids and family and her loving husband Roy. Jean is survived by Julie and Len, Jim and Wendy, and Ryan, who will carry her memory in everything they do. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks for donations to Penticton SPCA, a cause close to her heart. Her love was our greatest gift. We will miss her every day, but we take comfort knowing she is at peace.
