January 26, 1931 - January 30, 2019
It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of long time Keremeos resident Art U'Ren on January 30, 2019 at the age of 88. Dad was born one of 8 children in Slave Lake Alberta January 26, 1931. He spent 20 plus years in Vancouver where he is survived by his sons Stu(Eser), Tom (Deb), Marty(Susan) 5 grandchildren Kelly(Rob), Chris(Melissa), Grant, Cody, Nathan and 4 great grandchildren Evan, Connor, Megan and Easton. He was predeceased by partner Shirley Kean in 1996. He later reconnected and is survived by his childhood sweetheart and best friend Joyce Fauteux with whom he shared many wonderful years.

Dad enjoyed fishing, gardening, playing guitar, singing and playing cards. Later in life he and Joyce became regulars on the bingo and bowling circuits in Keremeos and Penticton. He was always quick with a quip and relished a good joke and an ensuing laugh.

Dad was a navy veteran who after the war worked as an electrician and was a general manager of various electrical contractors before eventually owning his own company, Twin City Electric . He could do or fix just about anything and was never afraid to try anything new except for all things computer. He was a one of a kind and will be missed greatly.

A celebration of life will be arranged at a later date.
