A 70-year-old Penticton woman was trapped in her car early Monday morning, after it drove into a creek on Highway 5A.

The incident occurred approximately 7 km from Princeton at 6:50 a.m., according to RCMP Corporal Chad Parsons.

When police and fire rescue arrived the “passenger side was slowly filling with water,” he said.

While the driver was not injured, “she was pretty shaken up.”

Icy road conditions contributed to the crash, said Parsons.
