Regional District Okanagan Similkameen staff salaries are up slightly over last year, with directors remuneration up 4.5 per cent.
Chief Administrative Officer Bill Newell notes that in the 2012 over 2011 comparison, there was no increase for management employees in 2012, but union employees received a 1.75 per cent increase. That apparently put a couple of the RDOS building inspectors over the $75,000 threshold for reporting on the Statement of Financial Information.
Generally, the total wages and benefits indicate an increase of two per cent.

The RDOS directors budget was $398,746, up from $379,685. Expenses were also up, from $69,694 last year to $73,679 in 2012.
