The snow is a headache for motorists, but a dream for local ski hills enjoying all the fresh powder.

Revelstoke Mountain Resort reports it received a whopping 17 centimetres of fresh powder overnight.

A total of 18 cm has been recorded in the last 12 hours and the mountain is boasting an alpine snow base of 189 cm.

Big White Ski Resort near Kelowna reports 13 centimetres of fresh snow in the last 12 hours. The resort issued a powder alert on social media, encouraging snow enthusiasts to come enjoy the hill and lay fresh tracks.

The Kelowna hill received 17 cm in the last 24 hours and has an alpine snow base of 163 cm.

Vernon's Silver Star Mountain Resort saw seven fresh centimetres of snow in the last 12 hours, adding to its alpine snow base of 144 cm.

In the South Okanagan, Apex Moutain Resort near Penticton reports on Facebook that a sunny inversion has kept snow conditions “soft and playful”.

Apex is enjoying an alpine snow base of 155 cm, with four fresh centimetres of powder in last 12 hours.

Oliver's Baldy Mountain Resort is holding on to a snow base of 116 cm, also receiving four centimetres of fresh snow in the last day.

The smaller mountain went live on Facebook this morning with up to date conditions.

Heading northwest, Kamloops' Sun Peaks Resort has an alpine snow base of 147 cm, with 3 cm of fresh powder in the last 24 hours.
