Police are searching for those involved in an attempted break and enter in Summerland.

Several residents of Summerland were given a rude awaken Thursday morning after a vehicle led police on a chase through a quiet neighbourhood.

According to Cpl. Chris Richardson police were following up on a report of an attempted break-and-enter at a home in Summerland.

Officers spotted the suspect vehicle and tried unsuccessfully to pull it over.

Instead the vehicle took off, driving through various properties and fences, causing damage.

The vehicle was found abandoned off of Garnet Valley Road.

Richardson says the suspect or suspects remain at large and an investigation is continuing.
