Thieves steal and then dump side-by-sides taken from Oliver golf course

One thief is in custody and another got away on foot after three maintenance side-by-sides were stolen from an Oliver golf course Monday morning.

According to Oliver RCMP, three side by sides were stolen from Fairview Mountain Golf Course in the early morning hours of March 14.

One of the utility vehicles was recovered at Road 9 and River Channel.

One man was arrested that morning and a second suspect was chased on foot by police to east of Black Sage Road. He was not located, said Sgt. Don Wrigglesworth. Video is being reviewed by police and the file is very active, said police.

A second side-by-side was recovered by the golf course staff in an orchard.
