Tequila Mockingbird Orchestra lands in Cawston

The Cawston Hall is bringing in an exceptional group, the Tequila Mockingbird Orchestra, on Nov. 30.

Every now and then you see a band performing live at at a music festival or at a venue and you think to yourself, ‘boy, I would really like to see that group live right in my hometown.”

Well, that moment has arrived as the Cawston Community Hall Society has managed to have one of the most entertaining groups you could possibly hear, Tequila Mockingbird Orchestra, come to the hall and perform for the people of the Similkameen.

The five members of this group playing the traditional drums and guitars are augmented by one of the members grooving away on a violin, another cool and smooth on the stand up double bass, and yet another slipping his fingers across a piano accordion.

Blend in their vocals and you have a great show.

Onstage the chemistry between the group is palpable and that same atmosphere drifts out and envelopes the audience.

If you want to experience this firsthand, and you really should, come to the Cawston Community Hall on Friday, November 30 and bring your $20 for your ticket and some money for the bar that will be operating.

When you leave, guaranteed you will be one happy person. See you there!!

Doors open at 7:30 p.m and the music starts at 8 p.m. Advance tickets can be purchased at Westland Insurance in Keremeos and Cawston Marketplace in Cawston.
